My New Year’s Resolutions for 2010

I don’t usually have any resolutions because I think it’s stupid that you should have to start something new at the beginning of the year. “Why not start right now?” is usually my attitude.
I had a really successful year (2009) and I’m proud of what I achieved. I want 2010 to be even better. I’m constantly making myself experience everything I can and do more with my life. This year I'm determined to try even harder and I plan to succeed even more.

#1. Modelling. Photoshoots with amazing photographers Gary Howard and Daniel Gowans. Even better would be Rob Hamilton or Wayne Daniels.

#2. Take care of myself. Continue with healthy eating and running. Surround myself with positive, fun and successful people. My body is my temple, treat it well. Learn to relax.

#3. Career. Work hard. I still don’t know what I want to do with my life. I’ve spent the last 4 years focusing on modeling and didn’t go to Uni. Study part time. TV presenting? Dentistry? Nutrition?

#4. Money. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE and SAVE some more. 2011 Wedding. Trip to Europe. Trip to America. Buy a house.

#5. Shane. Each year I seem to fall more and more in love with my man. Everything is so perfect in our relationship. Keep doing what I’m doing, it’s working ;)

#6. Friends and Family. Keep going out and meeting new people. I love the beautiful social life I have at the moment! Continue to be a great friend to the people you love. Keep in touch facebook/email/phone. Go out for dinners and hang out at the beach. SHOPPING!

#7. Get my first tattoos. Exciting! I have 4 planned in my head.

#8. Join a sports team. I’m thinking baseball/volleyball/tennis would be fun.

#9. Stop and savour all the sweet moments in my life. So many amazing things are going on at the moment and I feel like I need to “live in the moment” a little more. It’s always about what is coming next.

#10. Push the boundaries. If I want something I go and get it. I am responsible for everything in my life. I make it happen for myself.

What are your New Year Resolutions for 2010?

Lindsay Lohan - Muse Magazine

Lindsay Lohan is the cover star for an upcoming issue of the Italian magazine Muse. She recently got a little wild during the shoot at the Chateau Marmont, which the photographer Yu Tsai says was inspired by the '90s look of Kate Moss and Johnny Depp. Joining Lindsay in the spread is male model Petey Wright and one of her friends, Sofia Boutella. An accompanying video is on YouTube.

Big weekend much?

It’s definitely the silly season! ;) what a weekend I had!

Work (bless them) let me finish at 12 on Friday YAY I got back to the Gold Coast and realised I had forgotten my house keys. So Shane, being the amazing guy he is, left work (20min drive away) and picked me up from the train station and took me home. I got pretty for the Fashion TV xmas party and picked up my girl Britney and went out to the party. It was at a BEAUTIFUL big house with an awesome pool and amazing view! Champagne and Daiquiris in hand we caught up with a few familiar faces from Playboy Golf and met some new great friends. Britney and I got to the party glamed up in dresses and heals and like 15mins later got into bikinis – it was so hot! They had a DJ set up so we danced around and Britney did her best at some scratching hahahaa ;) she is so fun! Danny got pushed into the pool with his IPhone, devoed!
This was my outfit - you cant see my sexual silver heals though :P

how hot is my red bikini! I love my new figure :)

From what I can remember, I went with a bunch of people to another house party, then went to Ruby Tramp and Sin City. Saw a few random friends and decided to get some pizza and jump in a limo and went to another house party and we went swimming in the pool at like 3am! I was like I really need to go home haha so walked outside and my place is across the street SWEET I jumped on Shane when I got inside and woke him up to tell him all about my crazy night.

I woke up Saturday morning HUNGOVER and downed two blue PowerAde drinks and some poached eggs YUM and kind of healthy :P Trying to piece together the night was funny, made a few calls and I spent most of the day laying on the couch feeling like death. Shane and his friends were off to a girl’s 21st so I gave them a ride down to the party and decided it was now or never, I had to finish my xmas shopping. I spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much money!!! Uh-oh! But I know Shane will just spin out when he opens his gifts hehe. I left the mall thinking omg I just spend so much money. I wrapped up everything and found the best hiding place. Then I got pretty for dinner in Broadbeach for Tracey’s birthday. Giving Tracey and Katie their birthday presents was so cool. I got Katie a bottle of New Zealand Sav and a digital still photo keyring. I got Tracey an awesome Revlon lip-gloss and a set of 6 cocktail glasses. I think they really love them YAY :) We had yummy Italian for dinner, I was thinking mmm I can’t wait to eat some pasta but I ended up getting a chicken salad, which I couldn’t finish. We made our way down to Platinum, I saw Joey and he let me and the girls in for free (thanks Joey!!!) and we got some drinks, had a dance then went to Lil Sister for some cocktails until they closed, saw some friends and met some new people. Even had a chat with the very beautiful Brooke Evers

and then we went to the casino. Met up with another friend there and I decided to leave at 3:30am. Got home and Shane is still up drinking with all his mates so I had a shower and put some ear plugs in and fell asleep.

I woke up at 8am and we went out for breakfast on Chevron Island. It rained all day Sunday so Lyle and I went to a friend’s house and hung out with some people there. Then Shane and I went shopping and made Reef’n’Beef pizza and fell asleep at like 7pm.

Britney lost her camera which had the best photos on it; hopefully it’s still at the house :P xxx

Gossip

I am LOVING the band Gossip right now, and I love Beth Ditto’s voice. She has a fiery attitude. She isn’t your typical “lead singer of the band” she is a big girl but man she can sing!

Get on Youtube and check out some of their music. A huge song at the moment is Heavy Cross from their album Music for Men.
They are one of the headline acts coming to the music festival here on the Gold Coast, Good Vibrations, in February 2010. They would be amazing to see live!

the weekend...

I’m super busy at the moment so sorry I haven’t had a chance to update my blog! I have lots to write about though. I had a great weekend, again ;)

Friday night I did a sexy xmas shoot with Isaac for his xmas cards. Saturday I had an audition to be a presenter for a children’s show, for one episode. I think it went well, it will be a couple of months before I hear anything. Then I had a party model job in Brisvegas, then drove back to the gold coast for Katies Birthday Boat party! It was such a fun night! I had a blast :) soooo great to hang out with that group of friends! Sunday I finished my xmas shopping, I always manage to blow my budget haha. Had lunch with Shane, then we chilled out at the pool – it is so hot at the moment! Then we went for a bike ride around Broadbeach, its so beautiful down there late afternoon. Sunday night I made Mexican for dinner YUM and we watched cartoons on tv.

Now its back to work for another week! I have a very busy week ahead of me – so much work to do! And I have fabulous weekend coming up YAY xxx

Silly Season!

What does Christmas mean to you? Are you a Grinch who complains about silver bells and business marketing? Or are you Christmas crazy and plan your Christmas 6 months in advance?

Wikipedia: Christmas Day is an annual holiday celebrated on December 25 that commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. The date of commemoration is not known to be Jesus' actual birthday, and may have initially been chosen to correspond with either a historical Roman festival or the winter solstice. Christmas is central to the Christmas and holiday season, and in Christianity marks the beginning of the larger season of Christmastide, which lasts twelve days.
Although traditionally a Christian holiday, Christmas is widely celebrated by many non-Christians, and some of its popular celebratory customs have pre-Christian or secular themes and origins. Popular modern customs of the holiday include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations; including Christmas trees, lights, and garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly. In addition, Father Christmas (known as Santa Claus in North America, Australia and Ireland) is a popular mythological figure in many countries, associated with the bringing of gifts for children.
Because gift-giving and many other aspects of the Christmas festival involve heightened economic activity among both Christians and non-Christians, the holiday has become a significant event and a key sales period for retailers and businesses. The economic impact of Christmas is a factor that has grown steadily over the past few centuries in many regions of the world.

I’m not religious at all and December is summer time where I live, so there is no Jesus and no snow. As a child Christmas was about Santa and his flying reindeer, singing Christmas carols, advent calendars, making cards and decorations for the tree, candy canes and hot summer nights. I LOVED waking up and finding my Christmas stocking full of lollies and little presents. I was so excited to open presents I could barely sit still. My brother, sister and I would watch Christmas cartoons until Dad would get in from the farm. Then we would all have a huge BBQ breakfast. Bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee, followed by champagne and chocolate – the only day of the year where its acceptable to eat chocolate at breakfast time haha! The Christmas tree would make the lounge smell of pine and the house would be decorated in theme. I always got so many amazing thoughtful gifts from family and friends. We would spend the rest of the day eating and drinking and hanging out on the deck in the sun. Dinner would be more amazing food; my favourite was always dessert PAVLOVA! Ice-cream, chocolate and strawberries. I ate until my belly was sooo full.

A couple of days later we would pack up and go to the Coromandel for a beach holiday. I had amazing summers holidaying there, the most beautiful part of New Zealand. Good times.

This is my second Christmas away from home; all of my family (except my brother) are in New Zealand.

Now that I live on the Gold Coast, it’s about friends, food, parties, shopping, presents and hot weather!
I have been wondering what to do for Christmas this year. I have several friends who have moved here as well and we’ve been talking about all getting together for a BBQ. Bring food and bottles of liquor for yummy cocktails. My fav cocktail for the silly season is…
Candy Cane Martini
• 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
• 1/2 ounce peppermint schnapps
• 1 ounce club soda
• crushed candy canes for garnish
Rim a martini glass with crushed candy canes. Mix vodka, schnapps, and club soda with ice in a cocktail shaker; strain into prepared glass.

Watch this space for my Christmas Cupcakes! ;)

My Christmas Wish List (feel free to donate)
• Gucci Flora perfume
• GHD
• Pink Wittner heals
• Jacket with shoulder pads
• Coral lip gloss
• Louis Vuitton Handbag
• Party dresses, jewellery, make up, shoes and bikinis!
• Cocktail Glasses
• Ministry Of Sound Anthems II
• Nintendo Wii
And last but not least, I want the people I love to smile and have fun.

Merry Christmas xxx
